Welcome to the "Be Anything Program"

So many times today our children enter college or the work force unprepared. Rather than being directed and clear about the talents and skills they bring with them, they are drifting about, looking for the job or profession that will bring them the most money and afford them the best lifestyle.

What if they entered college or started a job knowing who they are, where they are going and exactly how they intend to get there?

The "Be Anything Program" was designed to be that clarifier. It is a compass for our youth to use to obtain the direction and confidence they need to succeed. It is a character, leadership, career exploration and decision making program that explores the individual and asks them to define themselves and what they believe in.

The program was based on the two time National Award Winning Book, "If You Could Be Anything, What Would You Be? A Teen's Guide to Mapping Out the Future" The book was written by Jeanne Webster CPC. Ms. Webster is a certified professional life skills coach with a niche in teen, parent/teen and young adult issues.

There is a huge gap between getting a great education and having the life skills and understanding to use that education to its fullest. This program is the "connect the dots" piece that combines all the information a student may need in real life.

So many times we teach just character education and then later a leadership course. Perhaps our students only touch on career exploration in the guidance office. This program ties all of this vital information into one curriculum and shows the student how character works with life skills and good decision making is guided by character.

The program gives students a chance through examples and exercises to build boundaries, guidelines, values and ethics they choose themselves. It calls for unique and individual responses from each and every student and allows them to form a foundation that they believe in and will serve them throughout their lives.

Students are also coached on emotional control, prompted to devise a plan to handle disappointment and anger before they occur and how to re-frame mistakes and failures into learning experiences, not quitting points.

There is a wonderful quote that says "The purpose of education is not to amass knowledge, but ultimately put that knowledge into action." The "Be Anything Program" enables students to put their education into action. It not only asks them to learn, but it also asks them to learn how to think.
